BAKER HUGHES (AEROSTAR BC)

CLIENT

Baker Hughes is one of the world's largest oil field services companies. It operates in over 90 countries, providing the oil and gas industry with products and services for oil drilling, formation evaluation, completion, production and reservoir consulting. Baker Hughes has its headquarters in Houston. The company's Russian offices are also located in Noyabrsk, Orenburg, Nizhnevartovsk, Novosibirsk and Tyumen as well as Aktau & Atyrau in Kazakhstan

PROJECT

Our long-term business relationship with Baker Hughes in Russia commenced in 2003 when we were appointed, on a negotiated contract basis, for the fit-out of their planned new 1,440 m2 Head Office on the 4th & 5th floors in Aerostar Place, Moscow. The concept architectural design for these premises was prepared by Houston-based Kirksey Architects. The detailed design was an Altaca responsibility as well as the Engineering Design. The project duration was 13 weeks, we worked very closely with the Aerostar's facilities team, particularly on the MEP systems to achieve the target occupancy date. Following completion of this first project, we were appointed to fit-out an additional 300 m2 in the same area.

FRAME-WORK AGREEMENT

Over the next 5 years, as Baker Hughes expanded their operations in Russia, they continued leasing extra areas within Aerostar Place:

- 1,180 m2 in 2005 on the 3rd Floor

- 1,180 m2 in 2007 on the 1st Floor

- 1,180 m2 in 2008 on the 2nd Floor.

Additionally, whilst undertaking this latest fit-out, we completed, in phases, a re-configuration of much of our previous work for them to suit their revised requirements. This included the construction of their "Beacon Centre" - a real-time remote collaboration satellite linked platform that links to oil-wells providing the operators wellsite data and enables remote advisory services. They now occupied the entire space in Aerostar Place.

RELATED PROJECTS

In 2007 we also undertook the fit-out of "emergency" temporary expansion space by converting part of the hotel complex adjacent to Aerostar Place. The area of 1,250 m2 was originally configured as hotel rooms, conference rooms and service areas; these we converted to closed offices and open plan areas.

Whilst undertaking all the above works on their Moscow offices, we also completed a number of design and reconstruction projects for them in various locations in Siberia. These included locations such as Nefteyugansk, Nizhnevartovsk, Noyabrsk and Usinsk

In 2014 we completed our largest project for Baker Hughes in Tyumen comprising a 31,000 m2 Cable Factory with a 5,000 m2 adjacent Office Complex.

Our latest Project being the reconstruction of their offices in the Monarch BC in Moscow.
