Akfen Holding AS is a Turkish Development Company. The Company's main areas of activity include airport construction and operation, port construction and operation, development of real estate investment projects and hotel projects, hydroelectric power plants and other energy investments, water and wastewater concession investments and management.
PROJECT CONCEPT
The existing construction primarily started as an office building, between the two pharmaceutical factories Fako and Deva, perpendicular to Buyukdere Street, on Maslak-Levent axis that has been the newly developing business centre of Istanbul for the last decade. The building was re-designed and then extended & re-constructed as a residence with a Loft Concept.
The existing wall separating the building from the two adjacent factories is furbished as a “green wall” which adds a landscape value in the garden concept surrounding the building; a natural atmosphere is created by the Zen gardens.
The building is not only designed as a housing facility but also it is a high quality social venue. The entrance is made through the lobby, designed as the essential meeting place; meeting rooms, spa / health centre, cafes and restaurants are the other public areas. LL, offering an efficient, tranquil, first-rate life style in modern-day standards in “downtown”, is an alternative to the trendy condominiums built in suburbs. Facilities like the large car park, storage, central heating and ventilation, security, maintenance services and “intelligent house” system grant a user-friendly environment and easy access. The complex, supported by the recent technologies and professional service administration, offers a comfortable and fashionable life-style.
The building is located on a total 3.870 m2 area, the front block consists of ground-floor and 11 floors, and the rear block is ground-floor + 7 floors. There are lofts of various sizes and types; differing from 68 to 182 m2; including duplexes; with terraces or gardens, open to create unique panorama for private use.
The Levent Loft project won the award for the "Best Residential Scheme" at Cityscape Dubai. The project was also one of the short-listed projects for the prestigious LEAF "New Build of the Year" award.
RELATED WORKS
Altaca were responsible for all construction works of the complex to shell & core and, additionally, undertook the fit-out of all 144 apartments and the building's Spa Complex.
We also undertook, as a follow-on project, the preparatory infrastructure works on an adjacent land plot for the second phase of the complex, Loft Gardens, for the developer.
